Uma visão retórica da agudeza no Quarteto de Cordas Op.33, N.5 de Franz Joseph Haydn

View through CrossRef
This article aims to recover the 18th-century meaning of the rhetorical concept of wit (from the German Witz), that has frequently been associated with Haydn, from his own time on to today. It points out and discusses some witty procedures of F. J. Haydn in his String Quartet in G Major Op.33, N.5. Understanding these procedures may provide a deeper comprehension of this work and a more solid analysis and interpretation of Haydn´s overall instrumental output.
