An old man in a carmine red costume and a calotte lying in a splendid baroque bed. On the left table with cardinal hat, sink and jug of gold on the floor, kneeling man holding light. At the bedside stands a young couple. The Cardinal has united their hands and blessed them. On the right another pair, as well as page that keeps a hoist. The figures stand in a three-pass field, where the painting is thicker and the colour clearer than in the corners (possibly painted and varnished in the 1600s). The canvas rectangular, the painting semicircular. The rest of the canvas is brown painted. Kilad buckle frame, illegible text written in pencil. Simple gilded ornamental frame with ornaments of gilded lead in the corners. 1800s. On the back written with a red chalk: “No 2.” The width of the frame list 70 mm. History painting sign. “SALOMON KONINCK F.” After drawing Crispin de Pas in the copper plug collection, Copenhagen. The painting has been in a roof at Kronborg Castle in Denmark.
