Although there have been many films featuring the legendary Robin Hood, Ridley Scott and the man who would play Robin in the director’s unique take on the story, Russell Crowe, had a dim view of the past competition, even the Hollywood classic featuring Errol Flynn: The Adventures of Robin Hood, released in 1938. Scott’s take on Robin Hood is more political. The movie also centers in on how the archer met and fell in love with Marion Loxley.
