Pemanfaatan Bunga Rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) Sebagai Bahan Pewarna Lipstik

Rosella plant (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) is used by the community as an ornamental plant and for medical purposes. Roselle flowers are red, has a dye that contains strong enough. Synthetic lipstick dye is one of the causes of irritation and skin allergies, so researchers make lipstick formulations using natural dyes from rosella. Methods of this study, using a lipstick dose formulation consisting of several components such as cera alba, lanolin, petroleum jelly alba, cetyl alcohol, oleum ricini, propylene glycol, rose oil (oleum rosae) and nipagin and addition of rosella extract at concentrations of 10%, 20 %, 30% and 40%. Tests on the preparations include homogeneity inspection, pH examination, scouring test, stability test for changes in shape, color, and odor during 30-day storage at room temperature and irritation test
