Françoise Smyth-Florentin aborde l’histoire de la construction du monothéisme biblique comme un processus de résilience théologique d’un peuple en exil. De ce processus émerge la figure du Dieu irreprésentable, progressivement opposée aux formes religieuses des peuples environnants, et dont la loi va tracer les frontières de l’élection, non pas à partir de marqueurs identitaires de souche , mais par l’interpellation de tout lecteur en exil… en exode.
