Cosmetic or Surgical Implement

View through Harvard Museums
Long bronze probe with flattened end. The shaft thickens for one-third of its length and then meets with a roughly rhomboidal bead-like ornament. The shaft continues on the other side of this, tapering to a sharp point. Separate groups of rings decorate the shaft on either side of the rhomboidal bead. The bead itself is incised with bisected diamonds on each of its four faces.
