Garegin Nzhdeh played an important role in 1920 – 1921 Artsakh's fight for survival. His military operations in favor of the Armenians significantly changed the demographic profile of Artsakh. Before leaving the region, G. Nzhdeh always tried to solve the issue of Artsakh by uniting Armenia. At the time of his departure, he believed in the decree to join Karabakh to Armenia. G. Nzhdeh's works are an important and reliable source for the study of the above - mentioned period of Artsakh history. His analysis on Artsakh are important in spreading the military - scientific and ideological significance of Artsakh to the public.
