The photo is part of the Research Report No. 196 “The influence of the hydropower and navigation arrangement of the Olt river, Slatina - Danube sector, on the economic and spiritual profile of the area” (Study of the locality of Ipotești), authors Natalia Marcu, Ecaterian Dulcu, Aurelia Florea, Doina Crețu, Raluca Smarandache. The excavations took place in 1987 in the village of Ipotești, Milcov commune, Olt county and had as objectives: geographical and historical framework, evolution of the settlement and household, peasant household, architecture and organization of the interior, occupations, crafts and technical installations, folk art and spiritual manifestations. In the picture partial view of the village of Ipotești. As a morphological structure, the village is of the type gathered, without however being compact. From the point of view of the economic profile, it is a predominantly agricultural settlement, in addition to cereal culture and animal husbandry, practising viticulture and vegetable growing.
