Features of Mastering S. Rachmaninoff’s Piano Works by Chinese Students

The article considers a possible way of mastering the difficulties of S. Rachmaninoff’s piano style by Chinese students; it defines the necessity of developing skills leading to the comprehension of the meaning and significance of this music. The authors propose a system of methods aimed at adequate comprehension of the artistic content of the composer’s piano works, the implementation of which will allow students not only to overcome technical difficulties in Rachmaninoff’s works, but also to understand the peculiarities of the composer’s stylistics, his figurative language and creative credo.
