Perioperative arrhythmias

This chapter describes perioperative cardiac arrhythmias. These comprise narrow complex arrhythmias, broad complex arrhythmias, and heart block. The chapter describes the perioperative management of pre-existing arrhythmias (such as atrial fibrillation), including the patient with an implanted pacemaker or defibrillator. It also describes the management of arrhythmias which may arise during the course of anaesthesia.
