Printed vertical format paper sheet. \Figurine of the Autumn/Winter 1939-1940 collection published in the number 1 of the magazine 'La Moda en España'. \The first issue of this magazine appeared at the end of 1939, only with figurines of the autumn/winter collection of 1939-1940. The next issue, from the first quarter of 1940, contained figurines from the spring/summer 1940 collection. From the third issue, published in the same year, it became a regular magazine, focused on fashion but with articles and news about beauty, cooking and cinema. In 1941 it is published monthly and in the number 7, corresponding to March, it appears as 'Revista de figurines mensual'. In May Carlos Sáenz is appointed director, and between 1943 and 1947 Carlos Sáinz de Tejada will be its artistic director, and he will make full-colour figurines. Between April and September 1946 it was published fortnightly, but soon returned to a monthly edition. The content of the magazine is transformed as a result of its successive belongings to different publishing groups, as can be seen in the subtitles it adopts: `Monthly fashion magazine' (June 1942), `Fashion and home fortnightly magazine' (April 1946), `Fashion and home magazine' (October 1946), `Fashion magazine for women and home' (1947), `Fashion magazine for women and home' (January 1948) and `Fashion, Society, Art, Decoration' from May 1948 to date.
