ULOGA ZELENOG IoT U ODRŽIVOJ ENERGETSKOJ PAMETNOJ TRANZICIJI

ntegration of renewable energy sources and optimization of energy use are key drivers of sustainable energy transition and climate change mitigation. The application of modern ICT technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) in the energy sector contributes to improving energy efficiency, increasing the share of renewable energy sources and reducing the impact of energy use on the environment. It should be reminded that IoT also consumes energy, contributes to toxic pollution and e-waste. That is why the green IoT is seen as a future that is environmentally friendly. To achieve this, various measures need to be taken to reduce CO2 emissions and to conserve resources and to use efficient energy use techniques. All devices such as computers, communications, sensors, cloud computing and the Internet contribute to the transition to green - environmentally friendly IoT. The paper presents green IoT technologies, as well as the challenge for their application.
