Multi Device Portals (Multi Device Portals)

View through CrossRef
Summary In the last few years, Internet Portals have evolved from proprietary solutions to frameworks supporting open standards for portal applications, commonly called portlets. Despite this evolution, portals supporting data access on multiple devices are still in their infancy. The differences in the capabilities of the supported devices and the used protocols are significant. While there are some answers on the horizon for presenting applications on multiple devices, such as JSR 188 and new markup languages like RIML, we are still missing solutions supporting multi modal devices on portals.
