[1] From notes in curatorial file: The drawing was one of 283 late 18th- and 19th-century Italian and European drawings compiled in an album acquired by the Shepherd Gallery from the estate of Father Agius. The album is thought to have been compiled by Giovanni Piancastelli. This drawing was mounted on page 85 of the album.
