Volume Holographic Device for Spherical Aberration Correction and Parallel Data Access in Three-Dimensional Memory
View through CrossRef
We propose a volume holographic device for spherical aberration correction and parallel data readout in three-dimensional optical memory. Since the volume holographic device has high angular selectivity and wavefront conversion property, it is possible for that the volume holographic device can achieve data separation in each layer and the correct the spherical aberration which is generated when the data in deep layers are read or written. We present the theoretical analysis of parallel readout property using Kogelnik's diffraction theory [Kogelnik: Bell Syst. Tech. J. 48 (1969) 2909]. We also demonstrate some experimental results of the volume holographic device.

We propose a volume holographic device for spherical aberration correction and parallel data readout in three-dimensional optical memory.

We present the theoretical analysis of parallel readout property using Kogelnik's diffraction theory [Kogelnik: Bell Syst.

We also demonstrate some experimental results of the volume holographic device.
