THE IMPORTANCE OF SOCIAL VALUES AND NORMS FOR THE MILLENNIAL GENERATION: AN ANALYSIS OF THE FADING OF SOCIAL VALUES AND NORMS

The study explores the importance of social values and norms among millennials, as wellas the phenomenon of the loss of social norms and values among them. In an increasinglyssadvanced digital age, millennials face unique challenges that can affect their views andbehavior towards traditional social values and norms. The study aims to identify thefactors that cause the erosion of values and social norms among millennials and theirimpact on their social lives. The research methods used included quantitative surveys andqualitative interviews with a number of millennial respondents. The findings of this studysuggest that technological change, the influence of social media, and globalization aresome of the key factors contributing to the loss of social values and norms. Furthermore,the study found that despite a decrease in compliance with traditional norms, manymillennials still value and strive to preserve core values such as honesty, justice, andsolidarity. The findings of this study emphasize the need for collaborative efforts betweenfamilies, education, and society to reinforce social values and norms among millennials.Thus, the study provides important insights for understanding the dynamics of socialvalues and norms in the context of millennial generations and their implications for futuresocial cohesion.
