Copperplate engraving from the parable book "Messis Myrrhae et Aromatum" from 1607, published under the title "Paradisus Sponsi et Sponsae" by Jan David. The illustrations were engraved by Theodor Galle. The publication contains a hundred engravings. The first fifty depict the moments of the Passion of Christ, the second fifty depict scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary. The summary of the parable can be found under the picture in three languages: in Latin, Dutch and French.
