Neil Gaiman, artista incompleto

Abstract: Comics are usually made by many people through industrial division of work, which, otherwise, allows collaboration among different artists in order to build something that could not be reached by solo means. The writer Neil Gaiman’s work is a good example of this kind of “web creation”, a relational process which shows the incomplete aspect of the artist who creates together with others and how this adds to the growth of the work of art. Gaiman’s work is prolific. This paper focuses on his comic books and illustrated novels and on his partnership with illustrators Dave McKean and Charles Vess and editor Karen Berger.
