La península de Omán: sociedad y usos del entorno en los oasis de la antigua Magán

Los oasis de la Península de Omán han sido testigos de la presencia de grupos humanos documentados desde al menos el III milenio a.C. Entre el gran desierto de Arabia y las costas del Golfo y el Índico, los oasis de al Ain-Buraimi y al Madam-Mleiha nos ofrecen una interesante información desde el III al I milenio a.C. sobre la variedad de las estructuras domésticas, alimentación, animales, usos agrícolas (como la aparición de los afl?j) y del entorno. La presencia de la misión arqueológica española de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid en la antigua Magan nos permite además hacer un estudio del paisaje, la vegetación y los usos actuales de la tierra en este área.Palabras clave: Península de Omán, Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Magan, Oasis, falaj, Hili, al madam1-Thuqeibah, usos del entorno, textos sumerios.Abstract:The oases of the Oman Peninsula have witnessed the presence of human groups, documented, at least, from the third millennium B.C. Between the vast Arab desert and the coasts of the Gulf and the Indian Ocean, the oases of al Ain-Buraimi and al Madam-Mleiha offer us some very interesting information (from the third to the first millennium B.C.) about the variety of the household structures, food, animals, agricultural uses (such as the appearance of afl?j), and the surroundings.
