En la estela azul del Oriente. El lapislázuli del Tesoro de Tod

El Tesoro de Tod es uno de los hallazgos más llamativos del Próximo Oriente en relación al lapislázuli. Las piezas del Tesoro ya fueron catalogadas en los años treinta del S. XX, pero las que estaban realizadas en lapislázuli fueron mal estudiadas. El Tesoro de Tod supone una de las mayores acumulaciones de esta piedra fuera de Asia Central. La existencia de sellos dentro del tesoro nos permite considerar su cronología y la proveniencia de alguno de sus objetos, así como acercar diversas regiones del Próximo Oriente antiguo.Palabras clave: Tod, Montu, lapislázuli, plata, glíptica, intercambios comerciales, periodo Isin-Larsa, Dinastía XII.AbstractTod Treasure is one of the most amazing findings related to Lapis lazuli throughout the Ancient Near East. The different objects of this treasure were cataloged in the ‘30s of the twentieth century, but the Lapis lazuli items haven been poorly studied. Tod Treasure means one of the biggest hoard composed by this blue stone outside Central Asia.
