Department of Islamic & Later Indian Art This object is part of a group of Indian drawings and paintings that were purchased by Norman Hurst in 2004. They had been purchased as a group by an American couple from the art dealer H.C. Mehra at the Great Eastern Hotel in Calcutta in 1953. The collection was next in the possession of a small Massachusetts museum from the late 1960s until 2004. Harvard Art Museums/Arthur M.
