Hadamard Matrices and Codes

AbstractHadamard matrices were born as a theoretical topic in combinatorics and have found various applications in different fields. In this article we present the definition and two possible constructions of Hadamard matrices, namely, the Sylvester and the Payley constructions. Next, we describe the connections to coding theory and then derive the fast Hadamard transform for signal processing. Finally, we comment on several applications.
