ULOGA NOVIH KORISNIKA ELEKTROENERGETSKOG SISTEMA U RAZVOJU TRŽIŠTA ELEKTRIČNE ENERGIJE

Amendments to the Energy Law from 2021 define new users of the power system, including customers-producers, aggregators and warehouses. We are witnessing the intensive connection of electricity producers from renewable sources and prosumers to the distribution power system, as well as constant changes in electricity consumption of final customers. The distribution system becomes a dynamic, active system, whereby there is an increase in the load of the system itself and a change in power flows, as well as difficulties to manage the system. At the same time, there is an increase in losses and the need for additional investments in the distribution network in order to enable the connection of new system users. This paper will analyze the existing legal regulations from the aspect of the aforementioned processes that affect the complexity of the functioning of the distribution system operator. Also, it will be proposed to develop new acts that would define more closely the activities of new system users and their relationship with the distribution system operator, which will benefit both system users and system operators.
