Ryszard Matyja (1934–2002) across Europe, America and Asia to Częstochowa

This biogram tells the story of Richard Matyja, a man born in Poland, who survived World War II as a child and as a member of the Hitler Youth, later during the Cold fought in the ranks of the US Army War in the Korean War, and then worked for the US counterintelligence in the Federal Republic of Germany, Japan and the Middle East. He spent most of his life in California in the United States, but he returned to Poland after almost 50 years and lived in Częstochowa. Through the prism of his life one can look whether at the history of the world of the 20th century. Richard Matyja’s life story was supplemented by preserved photos and documents from his time in the American military, as well as family photos.
