Salim Ahmad is a renowned Urdu poet, essayist and critic of Urdu literature. He is famous for his creative writings in which he analyzes the classical poets in different ways. One can disagree with his point of view but his questions can not be denied which he raises about the poetry of Meer,Ghalib,Hali and Iqbal.Iqbal is his favorite poet. In his writings and poetry we can see the influence of Iqbal’s poetry and thought. He has written the book “ Iqbalakshair” in which he has raised many questions about the poetry and thought of Iqbal. This book is considered to be the most controversial in the history of Iqbal studies.
