The object of this study is to determine the visual designs of women's fashion magazine covers. However, the research object is to systematically evaluate the usage rates of the indicators on the magazine covers. In the study, were
chosen the covers of Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, and Cosmopolitan magazines with the highest circulation among France women’s fashion magazines. All issues published for 21 years of magazine covers are included in the review. Accordingly,
985 front covers of magazines published from 2000 to 2020 that can be accessed from a total of 1008 magazines constitute the sample group of the study. The quantitative research method was chosen by virtue of requiring the specification
according to the research values with numerical data. In the study, how visual design principles were applied to the overall balance of cover designs was evaluated by statistical analyses. As a result of the study, it was found
that the principles of visual design are used at different rates depending on the visual design of the magazine brands and are an indicator of the visual language of the magazine brands.
