Miniature portrait of Karl XII, 1800s copy, gouache on paper (?).

Chest picture, phase h, blue uniform coat with yellow-brown buttons, black scarf, brown background with light falling from the right. Frame made of wood, dressed on the front with red velvet with a cut pattern in the corners, oval opening with sloping edges, covered with glass, attached with a yellow metal oval frame with running leaf decor at the inner edge, outer edge smooth. The back covered with glued black, patterned fabric, cut blue paper, rectangular recess, on the paper in the recess written in ink: “Inv.N.2366.// Gåfva af H.K.Höghet// Oscar Hertig af Öster// götland/1857.” In the recess, rectangular support, dressed with the black fabric, attached with two brass hinges, down to red silk ribbon. In the upper edge, a coiled ring of yellow metal with leaf decor.
