«Fratelli tutti» y el individualismo contemporáneo

View through CrossRef
The encyclical «Fratelli tutti» could be read as a reaction to the individualism which characterizes postmodern society. This note highlights the general features, the roots, and the main manifestations of this individualism according to the encyclical. Moreover, the criticism of individualism and the response that the encyclical proposes both from the personal perspective (the cultivation of social virtues) and the societal perspective are exposed. This encyclical entails the application of the attempt to curb subjectivism and relativism in the social sphere, carried by John Paul II in «Fides et ratio».
