APPELLATIVES AND TOPONYMS IN THE BELOMORYE AND YAROSLAVSK-KOSTROMSKY VOLGA REGION: EXPERIENCE OF COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS
View through CrossRef
His paper presents a brief comparative analysis of the toponymy of the White Sea region and the Yaroslavl-Kostroma Volga region. Appeals are also involved, which are recorded in both regions. The material was obtained during the author's dialectological expeditions. It is noted that a number of oikonyms are quite common on the territory of the Kostroma region, with single fixations in the White Sea region. There are a number of substrate appellatives recorded in both regions, which can probably be interpreted as units of a similar nature.
