White enamelled Maltese cross of gilded silver, bullets on the tips. Between the cross arms straight and rolling, gilded rays. Slightly arched medallion covered with blue, transparent enamel, attached three faceted, five-odd, gilded stars. Gilded edge with zigzag decor. The back side medallion slightly arched and gilded, relief text in the middle: “LATVIJAS// REPUBLIKA/1918 G. 18. NO// VEMBRIS,” all around: “PER ASPERA AD ASTRA.” Between the top cross arm’s tips two “fluttering” bands, three indistinct stamps on one side, at the top of a tubular ring, attached an oval, gilded oak leaf wreath, at the top of a ring.
