Statecharts versus Sequential Function Charts (Statecharts vs. Sequential Function Charts)

Sequential Function Charts (SFCs) und Statecharts (SCs) sind graphische Sprachen, welche für die Spezifikation und Implementierung von Steuerungen komplexer reaktiver Systeme eingesetzt werden. Beide Sprachen enthalten die gleichen zentralen Sprachelemente, wie Nebenläufigkeit, ein Aktionskonzept und Hierarchie. Jedoch existieren im Detail semantische Unterschiede. Ein Ziel dieses Beitrages ist es, diese Unterschiede herauszustellen und aufzuzeigen, dass es nicht möglich ist, eine Sprache komplett in die andere zu übersetzen.
