Broad disc mouth, sloping inwards towards opening, deep concave profile; short, narrow neck; flattened shoulder; broad ribbon handle from lip to shoulder; globular body; rounded base with flattened bottom. Hard, buff clay; semilustrous, buff slip; semilustrous, black to reddish-brown and added red paint. On rim top, broad band encircling mouth and narrow band near outer edge; band around rim edge, continuing across handle; dots on shoulder; body, opposite handle and bottom: cinquefoil ornament with inscribed wheel in the centre, three of the leaves filled in, unfilled leaves have double outline, two large blobs on one of these; large cross on body beneath handle.
