Magnetic survey and cooperation—Under the direction of F. C. Brown of the American Church Mission at Hankow, assisted by C. T. Kwei of Central China College at Wuchang, good progress was made in the cooperative field‐work with the Department. Results from 27 stations have been received. Observations to compare the C.I.W. instruments being used by Brown and Kwei and the instruments of the Lukiapang Observatory, as well as the new instruments acquired by this Observatory to be used at Zosé, whence the Lukiapang Observatory is being transferred, were made. The newly purchased modern instruments for the magnetic work of the National Academy of Science at Peiping were tested and preliminary intercomparisons were made.
