Leaf of a series of twelve, Ornemens ou Placarts Pour l “richissement des Chambres, et Alcoves, Nouvellement inventés et gravés par I. Marot, A Paris chez Pierre Mariette, rue S. Iacques à l” Espérance (Mauban 1944, p. 171, Fig. 55). After Pierre Jean Mariette, it was Jean Lepautre who erased the ornaments (Mariette 1996, t. 2, p. 584).
