The item is a page from the Archaeological Journal (see Bibliography).The woodcuts represent three rings: A Roman gold ring with bezel engraved in intaglio with two heads in profile, from Piercebridge. An Anglo-Saxon ring of gold filigree work, with gemstone, found at Warkworth, Northumberland. A gold ring with hoop of pierced work with a letter on each facet, forming an unintelligible inscription c. 1500. Found at a field called Colchester, near Corbridge.
