IbnʿArabī: el viaje exterior y el viaje interior

Ιbn ʿArabī fue un viajero incansable que recorrió todo el mundo musulmán de su época. Partiendo de su ciudad natal, Murcia, conoció todo Al-Ándalus y el Magreb almohades y el Oriente Medio abasí. En su peregrinación por la Vasta Tierra de Allah también realizó un viaje interior en una búsqueda, a todas luces consciente y precursora de su viaje exterior, del sello de la santidad muhammadí que le llevó a experimentar un Viaje Nocturno mahomético y la Ascensión. No obstante, esto sólo constituye la mitad del camino e Ibn ʿArabī lo recorrió entero: regresó a la vida cotidiana para ayudar a los demás con sus enseñanzas.
