The wife of Alexander and her lover are burned in a fire because they had taken Alexander with the attachment. Emperor Ludwig, Alexander and a third person, perhaps the executioner, stand by and watch. A two-story, clay-vaulted building can be seen in the background, but the roof remained unfinished.
