Papers explain the factors resulting in ski injuries and the steps being taken to reduce the risk of ski injuries. Topics include: biomechanics and knee injuries; ski boots; release bindings, including testing; epidemiology of skiing injuries in Japan and Germany; spinal injuries; use of helicopter evacuation; and FIS efforts to control competitive skiing injuries.
