Unge med barnevernstiltak som begår kriminelle handlinger: ulike tjenester og ulike institusjonelle logikker

This chapter is about child welfare services, social services for adults (NAV) and the correctional service’s follow-up of young people who commit criminal acts. Characteristics of this youth group are highlighted. Several of the young people involved with the correctional service have support from child welfare services and therefore require follow-up from more than one agency. Collaboration can be challenging when coordinating different mandates and tasks. The differences between these institutions are explored with the use of theory of institutional logics. The analysis points to different institutional logics in each institution as well as a combination of logics within institutions.
