Simulation and Experiment Research of Double-Motor Drive and Control System for Pipe Belt Conveyor Based on Master-Slave Control Method

The pipe belt conveyor has a large load disturbance during start-up process, this feature is easily to cause output power imbalance of motors. The kinetic model of pipe belt conveyor is established and the load curves of driving pulley are simulated under the condition of head and tail double-motor drive and control. The double-motor drive and control system of pipe belt conveyor is established by improved master-slave control method, this control method is speed-given for the master motor and following torque-given for the slave motor. The double-motor drive and control system of pipe belt conveyor is simulated by MATLAB-Simulink, the simulation results show that the average ratio of output torque of master and slave motor is about 1.1, and the load curves of master and slave motor are basically coincident. So the double-motor drive and control system for pipe belt conveyor can achieve the power balance of master and slave motor, and its effectiveness is verified by simulation and experiment research.
