Resumo: o texto consiste em uma entrevista com Kate Kirkpatrick, filósofa britânica autora da biografia da filósofa francesa Simone de Beauvoir intitulada Becoming Beauvoir: a life (Bloomsbury Academic, 2019), traduzida no Brasil sob o título Beauvoir: uma vida (Crítica, 2020). Nesta entrevista, a autora aborda a sua trajetória como pesquisadora do pensamento da filósofa francesa, a independência do pensamento filosófico beauvoiriano em relação a demais nomes do existencialismo francês, os principais aspectos e especificidades da filosofia de Simone de Beauvoir entre outros temas de relevância para reflexões sobre a recepção da filosofia produzida por mulheres.
