Посол предоставляет важную информацию об истории Ферганского государства в 40-х годах V века, его политическом положении. Освещается история периода эфталитов, одного из наименее изученных периодов в истории Ферганы, проясняются даты присоединения долины к государству эфталитов, а также суждения об их отношениях с местной династией. Приводется интересные сведения об образовании Яйпанского ханства, его территории, обычаях его жителей.
