Rembrand: Jacob congratulates Ephraim and Menashe.

A divided postcard containing a black-and-white reproduction of Rembrandt van Rien's painting "Jacob Blessing the Sons of Joseph", 1656. The postcard was printed with the name of the artist and the name of the work in German and Hebrew. Apparently, this postcard was produced by The Lebanon Press, Warsaw-Moscow, at the beginning of the second decade of the 20th century. On the back of the postcard is printed the trademark of the expenditure. This postcard was not used and was removed from a collection of "Lebanon" postcards donated to the National Library in 1939 by the publisher's editor-in-chief, Mr. Benjamin Mintz, Warsaw. A reproduction of the same painting also appeared on another postcard published in Berlin, published by Kunstverlag Phönix shortly after that time. See also: Postcard #TM 8* 471.6
