GOTHIC LOLITA DALAM PENCIPTAAN ARTWEAR

This Final Project’s artworks were inspired from author’s daily and hobby, it is GothicLolita that created into artwear. Lolita itself is one of fashion sub-culture that developed andpopular at Japan. Since childhood, author was really like comic and Japanese cartoon whichfamous at that time (1900s). That fondness continuing until author grows up and studyingdeeper about Japan, include their fashion such as Lolita.Creation methods that used are data collected from literature study and directobservation. Phenomenological methods are aesthetic, ergonomic, and semiotic. Realizationmethods that used for all the artworks are tie dye, batik, sulam tapis, and creative decorationtechnique which inspired from tapestry technique.The achieved result from this process is eight pieces of art wears dominated in black,red, blue, and purple that dyed from synthetic dyeing. Batik and tie dye applied in many partsof the artwear, such as skirt, pants, sleeve, and blouse. Whereas sulam tapis and creativedecoration technique applied as finishing touch to make the artwears looks glamorously. Lolita sendiri adalah salah satusub-culture fashion yang berkembang di Jepang. Semasa kecil, penulis amat menggemari komikdan film kartun Jepang yang sedang populer pada masa itu (tahun 90-an). Kegemaran tersebutberlanjut hingga penulis beranjak dewasa dan semakin mendalami budaya Jepang, termasukfashion yang salah satunya dikenal sebagai Lolita.Metode penciptaan yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data melalui studi pustakadan observasi langsung. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan estetis,ergonomis dan semiotika. Teknik perwujudan yang diterapkan dalam keseluruhan karya yaitutie dye, batik, sulam tapis, dan teknik hias kreasi yang merupakan pengembangan penulisterhadap teknik tapestri.Hasil yang dicapai dalam penciptaan karya ini yaitu delapan karya artwear yang dominanoleh warna hitam, merah, biru, dan ungu yang dihasilkan dengan pewarna naptol. Batik dan tiedye diterapkan dalam berbagai bagian busana, seperti pada rok, celana, lengan, dan blus,sedangkan sulam tapis dan teknik hias kreasi diaplikasikan sebagai sentuhan akhir yangmenyempurnakan tampilan busana secara keseluruhan.Kata kunci : Gothic Lolita, artwear, batik, tie dye
