description: In the foreground, on the quiet surface of the water, innumerable multicolored boats with buckles, the silhouettes of which are reflected in slightly deformed images; in the background, along the high bank, buildings are deceived, some with two levels, and on vegetation allocations. The chromatics in vivid colors, well harmonized, alternating with pastel shades, were applied by short but convincing bushes, which also creates clerajn effects reminiscent of the manner of French impressionism. Compositional skills The compositional skills are also noted to shape the prespective planes, suggesting a succession of them to infinity. The artistic qualities of the work together with the creative takeover of the stylistic influences of French impressionism and postimpressionism give this creation of the Romanian painter an outstanding value. Signed and dated bottom right. in ink: Jean Al. Steriadi (1) 928.
