L’articulisme literari de Josep Maria de Sagarra

For more than forty years, Josep Maria de Sagarra wrote for the print press, above all in Catalonia and especially in Barcelona. Sagarra’s articulations are distinguished by a rare sort of literary perfection, half-way between journalism and prose poetry. On a wide variety of subjects, his observations are always subjective and critical. The style of his articles is impressionistic and of a great plasticity. His articulations are lyrical, imaginative, highly colored and written in a language that is not far from the colloquial register, which addresses the reader in a friendly tone.
