Summary: Preceded by the success of his biographies The Passion of María Malibrán ario and Puccini and the eternal feminine Sum, published in this same editorial, Octavio Aceves returns, in a way, although with different record, to the genre, with this book in which the splendor of the musical and theatrical activity, the painting, the parties ario with special relation to the Carnival- and of emblanzas of relevant characters and life situations in the Venice of the Xth century is collected. In the suggestive pages of this book En written with purple style, not exempt from a certain culturalist touch, the result of the vast humanistic culture of its author -, Casanova comes to life as the typical representative of Venice and the century, intertwining the most important episodes of his life with those of the city. Octavio Aceves throughout the book does not stop playing with words, and with the possibilities offered by the characters of the story, which may seem obscure, but the end, unexpected, surprises us with a glitter of hope and leaves us open the door of the imagination.
