Magsud Sheikhzade, originally from Azerbaijan, was known in the history of Uzbek culture of the XX century as a poet, playwright, literary critic and linguist, as a translator, folklorist and publicist who translated the works of world classics into Uzbek. In 1928, by order of the Imperial ideologists, he was exiled from the Caucasus for three years. He was not a supporter and propagandist of Soviet power. That is why in 1928 the young poet was sent from Dagestan to Tashkent, Uzbekistan. A completely new period of his life begins in this city. M., who soon became familiar with the secrets of the Uzbek language.Since 1928, sheikhzade began to regularly appear in the press with poems and articles written in Uzbek. He works on a par with artists who will become classics of Uzbek literature of the twentieth century and takes his rightful place. Magsud Sheikhzade's poetry was born on the strings of sublime love, human relations, friendship, exhilarating feelings and higher feelings. His poems are not only simple and at the same time deeply meaningful, but also reflect various aspects of society, man and nature. Magsud Sheikhzade's poetry is mainly associated with various difficulties of life, the inner struggle of man, love for nature and Homeland. In the works of the poet, the spiritual world of Man and society is one of the main themes. One of the most encountered motives in his poems is the struggle of a person with his inner world.
