“The Revolt of the Characters”

Painters and drawers portrayed as Dutch and Spanish troops respectively in the famous scene where the Commander-in-Chief of the Spanish troops is handed over the city key to the Dutch city of Breda. Here, however, the key to the “Forum” in Copenhagen is handed over (see comment). Instead of lances, the troops are equipped with brushes and fountain pens.
