Above this runs a gallon of trimmings interspersed with black velvet. The high bodice, rounded at the bottom, is closed by buttons and decorated with narrow lapels, which are also trimmed with fringes. The bodice is pleated at the top and wide and fluttering at the bottom. The collar is made of lace and the undersleeves of tulle consist of two bouffants and end in a lace flounce. The châle of Organtin is very dressy, the trimming of which is formed by a broad, quite simply hemmed flounce of the same fabric, and above which runs a dyed, interwoven cap. The hat of Florentine straw is decorated with twigs of red berries mixed with green grasses, and has very wide white ribbons trimmed with ponceau red velvet. The gloves are straw-yellow, the boots of azure green satin turc, and the bracelets of gold have very daintily worked medallions of hair as ornaments. The second lady wears a dress of English barege with three flounces, the last of which reaches to the waist. The cut-out bodice closes with a buckle belt, and the bodice is adorned with a narrow bouffant and two trimmings. Over this bodice the lady wears a pèlerine cardinal of tulle, trimmed with narrow lace flounces, in the spaces between which run a row of black velvet ribbons. The lower bodice is made of dotted tulle, the gloves of purple glacé leather, and the boots of grey fabric. The hair is adorned with a bandeau of black velvet, which is tied at the left side to form little bows with long ends. The parasol is made of brown moire. \"
